A Magical Sailing Trip between Lavagna, Sestri Levante, and Portofino

What could be better than spending an afternoon carried by the wind and cradled by the waves, exploring the beautiful Ligurian coast? Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing with our guests an unforgettable adventure thanks to my friend Giovanni, an expert sailor who organizes sailing trips for my guests.

 Our adventure begins at the port of Lavagna, where we meet Giovanni at 3 PM. The sun is still high, and the sky is a clear blue, promising a perfect day for sailing. After a brief safety briefing and a few tips on how to make the most of the trip, we board his splendid sailboat.

As we leave the port, the sea breeze gently caresses our faces, filling us with excitement. Our first stop is Sestri Levante, a charming town known for its two breathtaking bays: the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fables. Giovanni skillfully guides us along the coast, allowing us to admire the scenery while sharing stories and anecdotes about these fascinating places.

After a short break for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Sestri Levante, we head towards our main destination: Portofino. The sail is pleasant and relaxing, with the sound of the waves accompanying our journey. Arriving at Portofino by sea is a truly special experience: watching the village slowly unfold, with its colorful houses and picturesque harbor, is a sight that takes your breath away.

Around 6 PM, we set sail again to return to Lavagna. The sun begins to set, painting the sky with shades of pink and gold, creating a magical atmosphere. During the return trip, we relax on deck, chatting and enjoying the last moments of this splendid day. We arrive back at the port between around 7 PM, satisfied and with our hearts full of wonder.
